A small but enthusiastic group were in attendance for this hastily arranged replacement for the Dorne Cup. The event involves teams of two with the slower of each team designated the 'Hare' and the other the 'Hound'. The hares and hounds both start at the same time but go in opposite directions around a block. When they meet they tag each other and turn and re-trace their steps back to the starting point where they must both finish together to record their finishing position.
In todays event the block was just passed the dump on Springfield Road, with the 'Hares' running along the stop bank and the hounds running out to Springfield Rd, along the road and then onto the stop bank to meet their hares.
Trevor Fulton and Sam Hall won the day, runing perfectly to arrive back at the start point at exactly the same time, and well clear of the second placed pairing of Wayne Smith and Eric Phimister. Six seconds further back were Eric Speakman and Emily Stuart before a mass finish of most of the rest of the field.
